Ticket to Life!

It's Monday night, I wanna read a book;
Mama said-No, no, my child!
I said-Mommy, please let me cook;
Mama said-No, no, my child!

Look at him study all day!
Look at her study all night!
You should be doing the same,
To be ahead in the game, coz,
That's your ticket to life!

It's Wednesday evening, I wanna play my six strings;
Mama said-No, no, my child!
I said-Mommy, I wanna do some other things;
Mama said-No, no, my child!

Look at him study all day!
Look at her study all night!
You should be doing the same,
To be ahead in the game, coz,
That's your ticket to life!

It;s Friday night,I wanna watch a movie;
Mama said-No, no, my child!
I said-Mommy, let me watch some TV;
Mama said-No, no, my child!

Look at him study all day!
Look at her study all night!
You should be doing the same,
To be ahead in the game, coz,
That's your ticket to life!

It's Sunday morning, I wanna wake up late;
Mama said-No, no, my child!
I need some fresh air, gotta go out of the gate!
Mama said-Don't you dare, my child!

Look at him study all day!
Look at her study all night!
You should be doing the same,
To be ahead in the game, coz,
That's your ticket to life!

In This World

Every little hope, its all vague.
And every living life, its all fate.
Every love we give, its all hate.
And when we show off some help, its too late.
Every promise that we make,
Its all lies.
Every dream turns to tear,
In their eyes.
Every drop they bleed,
It has no pain.
Every moment of freedom
Is bound in chain.
Don't tell me you never see,
All the blood that they weep, till finally.
Don't tell me you didn't know,
Every mile that they ran, naked in snow.
Is their life all a big mistake,
In this world.

Every road they take, its all red.
And every hand they hold, its a blow instead.
Everything in life, its all shame.
And every reason why, oh! It's so lame!
Every smile on their face,
Is fantasy.
Every whack of the whip,
It's ecstasy.
Every dream in their eyes.
Lies all asleep.
Every stab of a knife,
It ain't no deep.
Don't tell me you never sold,
Every life for your greed, of some gold.
Don't tell me you gave a chance,
For every leg that you broke, they cannot dance.
Is their life all a big disgrace,
In this world.

Hey Oh Lady!

Hey oh lady! You put my heart on fire.
Hey oh lady! You're my one desire.
Hey oh lady! Just a one block down.
Hey oh lady! From my tinsel town.
You make my knees so weak,
I can hardly stand.
I wanna be your man,
Don't you understand!

Na na na na, na na na na...

Hey oh lady! You're a charming sight.
Hey oh lady! You're my dream all night.
Hey oh lady! You make my clock tick wrong.
Hey oh lady! You make my day too long.
You put me up in air,
I can feel no land.
I wanna be your man,
Don't you understand!

Na na na na, na na na na...

Hey oh lady! Wanna lie in your arm.
Hey oh lady! You're a blissful charm.
Hey oh lady! You make my heart skip a beat.
Hey oh lady! Sure you turn on some heat!
There ain't no better feel,
Like the touch of your hand.
I wanna be your man,
Don't you understand!

Na na na na, na na na na...

Di Di Da...

Driving down the street,
As the sun goes down,
I'm driving fast, I'm driving fast;
I'm leaving town.

When we were ten,
We were a gang.
We ran we laughed, we played.
And there was a song we sang-

Di di da do di da da da...

A few years later,
We were a band.
We strummed, we jammed, we sang.
We ruled our land.

Jerry lost a leg;
Mickey left the gang,
And Jimmy started hating it all,
So alone, I sang-

Di di da do di da da da...

Sitting by a river,
Away from the noise.
We talked, we talked, oh yeah!
Man! I loved her voice!

And finally came the day,
When we gave and took a ring;
Jerry, Jimmy, Mickey, all were there,
Together did we sing-

Di di da do di da da da...

Happy times were they,
But they didn't last long.
A little over six years from then,
The knell rang a gong!

So here I am,
Leaving town. So long!
Thank you for the many days,
And thank you for that old song-

Di di da do di da da da...

(This song was written together by Adarsh Yagnik, Nilanjan Banerjee and me.)
